Cixi News Net – (Journalists: Zhang Jinke; Reporter: Cai Guanming) Recently, the Environmental Detection Control Center of Ningbo Environmental Protection Agency detected the newly-installed sulphurization equipments of Ningbo Liantai Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd. for six times in two days. The result indicates they run smoothly with sound techniques and stable functions. Their desulfurization degree reaches as high as 98.6% and collection coefficient 97.4%. The entire project confirms national and provincial treatment specifics and pollutant emission standards, fulfilling curbing requirements of total emission and volume control quotas. It’s known that environmental problems, such as pollutant emission are the headache of chemical engineering enterprises, and the situation is the same in Ningbo Liantai Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd. with annual DOP (the “plasticizer”) output of 30,000 tons. Last year, this company introduced Taiji DS industrial flue gas treatment technique and related equipments to replace its original ones for environmental protection upgrade and finally realized win-win in economic benefit and environmental protection. There are over 500 enterprises with total sulfur dioxide emission volume of 213,300 tons according to Zhang Bin, Chief of Detection Section of Ningbo Environmental Protection Agency, which means a hard task of 100,000 tons reduction within five years according to the latest regulation of State Council that the total sulfur dioxide emission volume of Ningbo should be below 111,200 tons at the end of China's 11^th Five-Year Plan (Year 2006 to 2010). Under such a critical condition, there’s no other ways but resorting to technical breakthroughs. Taiji DS industrial flue gas treatment technique is applicable to various industries with great advantages. Furthermore, in this technique, only one set of equipment can desulfurize, remove dust and CO and nitrogen oxides simultaneously. What’ more, it has developed into a mature domestic desulfurization technique and been applied to many flue gas treatment projects in large and medium enterprises nationwide. It’s worthwhile to be promoted in Chinese industrial flue gas treatment.
